Mixed Tape. // Saturday, August 30, 2008

TWO days left of doing-absolutely-nothing (aka summer) until school starts.

Well, actually we have to go tomorrow afternoon for orientation. So like 1 1/2 days.

But orientation doesn't really count does it? Okaay, so 2 days. Or maybe 1 3/4 days.

Nope. Wait. This day is half over. SO 1 1/4 days. Yep. That's it.

Ow. Fractions make my head hurt.

----

Just got back from Singapore last night. It was great. We went to Little India like 3 times. My daddy likes India sweets. We also went past the preschool I went to. :D oh and we got.....BOOKS. I read Just listen by Sarah Dessen during the trip and I started BREAKING DAWN yesterday.

----

So now I'm basically bored. I have nothing to watch until new seasons start unless i start watching a whole new show. Which would be a bad idea. very bad.

Well I was sitting on Jess's desk, drinking apple cider (in the summer?!), and insulting other peoples' *cough* blogs, but we ran out of insults so...Now, I'm eating Nerds and writing this. And for those of you who didn't notice: I got a new layout.

brighter than sunshine // Thursday, August 7, 2008

I keep my heart locked in my chest hoping your heart will be the key.

George Bernard Shaw once wrote: "There are two tragedies in life: There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it." I understand how loss is a tragedy but to get what you desire most? Some wait their whole lives, hoping that what they want will someday be theirs. But what is there to hope for when they get it? The way I see it, they hope to keep it. They hope and they fight like hell to keep it.

And whether you fought or not, losing it-- that's the real tragedy, because you'll always tell yourself: "You could have done more. You could have fought harder. Letting go, it'll be one of your toughest challenges in life. And that place in your heart that was once filled with hope and happiness will become a void; never to be the same again. So maybe Shaw knows something I, who have never gained or loss their heart's desire, don't. But from what i know about life so far, there would nothing wrong, nothing bad, nothing tragic about getting you're heart's desire.
